Times are changing faster than ever before, and upheavals abound. As such it is the desire of the Festival to provide space for audiovisual work which, as a result of being radical, brave and inquisitive, is unsuited to more traditional exhibition channels. Here therefore is an opportunity to view work engaged in a never-ending search; independent work that experiments with audiovisual language and sets new challenges for its audiences. Awareness of the prolific and suggestive incursion of what we consider real into these new outlooks, has led the exhibit to focus on those films, that in one way or another, set up an interplay between fiction and reality. By walking the dangerous and unstable frontier around non-fiction cinema, a risky but fascinating and evocative journey is proposed in pursuit of new horizons and a new viewpoint on contemporary audiovisual work.
