Vanessa's first job after college was working with the Galway Film Fleadh and has subsequently spent the last nine years working in film training for Galway Film Centre and for Filmbase. She has written for the publications 'Film West' & 'Film Ireland' Magazine. She has previously produced short dramas and directed documentaries for Amnesty Ireland. In 2006 she wrote and directed a Short Short for The Irish Film Board called 'The White Dress' which has won 4 awards at film festivals in Ireland and a nomination for Best Short at the Irish Film & TV Awards 2007. She also teaches film production in Filmbase and Griffith College Dublin. She is currently working as a producer on a feature music documentary set in Mali, West Africa called 'The Mali Project' for Luachra Productions.
