It addresses the situation of human rights in two unresolved armed conflicts, Chiapas and Guatemala. The continuing attacks by the States against social alternatives in both territories find resistances in the organizational struggles for self-determination of indigenous peoples, the liberation of women and the defense of human rights.

Unai Aranzadi
He was born in Bilbao, 1975. He studied documentary filmmaking at the International Film School of Cuba (EICTV) and at the University of New York (NYU). Its professional career started to develop in Denmark (1998) as a camera operator in a production company, leading to a stage of cameraman in the Film Department of Canal +. During three years he covered some of the most important film festivals worldwide, including Cannes, Berlin or Venice. In 2001 he founded 'INDEPENDENT DOCS' a production company specialized in documentaries on armed conflicts and human rights. Since then, he has been recording reportages about afghan talibans, colombian guerrillas or somalian warlords. As a medium and long feature documentary filmaker, Aranzadi has written and directed over a dozen films, which have been aired on BBC, Al Jazeera, or Canal +.
