Any approach to the fields preceded by an irremediable failure. Only 'Shoah', Claude Lanzmann's film, has been able to overcome the distance that separates us from the suffering of victims. Having seen the film, I wanted to make a minimalist collage in which there's no possible shift in meaning, since all sequences are being metonymy of a nameless, namely, the reality of a concentration camp. Keep in mind that the metaphor is an improvement of everyday language to give accurate account of the understanding of what happened, so that we can integrate it into a full experience of sense. And this is what is not possible when referring to concentration camps.
