Phillip is an MFA candidate in NYU's Graduate Film Program, Tisch School of the Arts and was raised in Honolulu, Hawaï and Portland, Oregon. His films have been screened and won awards in festivals including Berlin International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Film Festival, and Aspen Shortsfest, among others.
