'I am beautiful, the most beautiful...' This film is based on a true story: About ten years ago I met an old woman in the street, which was lost. I brought her home - it was just a tiny room with almost nothing in it besides an old iron bed, and on the white wall there was a handwrite paper-sheet with nearly the same content which appears in the film.

Giga Chkheidze

Giga was born in Georgian Republic in 1965. In 1986 he graduated from the National Theater and Film School Tbilisi: Camera Faculty. At the same time he left the Special Music School with a first in Jazz and Electronic Music. From 1986 to 1991 he worked as a director of photography at the Georgian State Film Studio 'Gruzia Film'. Since 1993 he has been realizing a number of independent film projects in Moscow, London, Berlin and Munich. His films have been screened in many renowned international film festivals (Rotterdam, Oberhausen) and Film Programmes such as MOMA-NY, The Film Society of Lincoln Centre NY, Anthology Film Archives NY as well as shown on several popular TV Channels as ARTE, 3 sat, ZDF.
