A man and a boy, trudging down a hot, deserted stretch of highway, sneak into a motel swimming pool and are soon found by a girl who works there. While at first everything seems normal, as the boy speaks with the girl a strange and disturbing shift occurs, and the reality of who they really are is called into question.

Christopher Radcliff
Christopher recently graduated with Honors from Columbia University's Graduate Film School, where his short film, “Stranger”, was selected for Faculty Honors in 2009. He has worked in a variety of capacities on numerous short and feature films, including “Revolutionary Road” (Sam Mendes) and ”3 Backyards” (Best Director - Eric Mendelsohn, Sundance Film Festival, 2010).

Lauren Wolkstein
Lauren was born and raised in Baltimore, USA. She received her B.A. in Computer Science at Duke University, where she also won the Duke Filmmaker Award. In 2010, she graduated from Columbia University's School of the Arts in Film Directing. She lived in Los Angeles for a year, assisting film producer Chris Hanley at Muse Productions ('The Virgin Suicides', 'American Psycho', 'Buffalo ’66'). In addition to developing the feature version of 'Cigarette Candy', she's also adapting David Foster Wallace's short story 'Little Expressionless Animals' into a feature that is in development with Plum Pictures.
