BENEYTO DESDOBLÁNDOSE

Beneyto is a painter, writer and editor and one of the last exponents of Postism. He's an eccentric and intriguing character, constantly searching for something that could well be love, or the beloved, as embodied by the fictional character Airun. Alejandra Pizarnik, who was his literary double and extremely close to the author, and with whom he maintained a cordial on-going correspondence between 1969 and 1972, will be an absent presence throughout the film in her photos and letters. This documentary blurs the line between reality and fiction in order to explore Beneyto's surreal universe. In it some of his friends, such as Pere Gimferrer, José Corredor Matheos, Jaime D. Parra and Glòria Bosch, will reveal a few things about this enigmatic personality.
