The woolen hat tells the story of young girl Malita, who owns a magic woolen hat that makes her talk to animals and travel to places in an instant. During one of her reading sessions with her grandpa she comes across a story about the Berlin bears. The bears are threatened by an evil cat named Catzo that has always wanted to take over the city to become the new emblem of Berlin. Because of her desire to meet the bears and with a little aid of her magic woolen hat, Malita immediately finds herself in Berlin where she discovers that it is her mission to save the bears...

Rhoda Kawinga
Rhoda was born in 1978 in Lusaka, Zambia. She studied TV and Film Production at Newtown Film and Television School in Johannesburg, South Africa. She attended Screenwriting workshop by Dermond Judge sponsored by Deutsche Welle and another one by Humphrey Barclay and has since been active as a writer, director and video camera operator in television and video. 'The Woolen Hat' is her first animation film.
