Ada and her parents are having dinner when her father confronts her mother with accusations about unfaithfulness. Ada is sent to her room where she is forced to listen to her father verbally and physically attacking her mother. Meanwhile the neighbors in the building walking by can hear what's going on but choose not to act. When her mother screams out Ada's name in desperation, she decides to make a run for it and get help. The police arrive, but is it too late?

Marianne Leirvik Bragstad
Marianne was born in 1986. She grew up in a small town in Norway. She studied Media and Communications in high school where she made her first documentary, which won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at Femmina International Film Festival in 2005. She graduated from Kulturama Film School in Stockholm, Sweden in 2007 and 'What if Leaving is a Loving Thing' is her final school project.
