River Ames, 24 years old, is a hearing child of deaf adults who returns to his estranged younger deaf siblings, Emmet, 18 years old and Enola, 6 years old, after the death of their parents. Awaiting the key to their inherited beach house, Emmet finds it hard to forgive River as they slowly begin to reconnect.
