The Three Soldiers

In the last hours of Spanish Civil War, Tomás, an artist forced to become a soldier, escapes from the battlefield. During his escape he meets three soldiers going to Andorra to start a new life.

Alfons Casal
Alfons Casal is a qualified cinema director who studied at the Centre d’Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya-CECC (Barcelona, 2006) and holds a degree in English Philology by the UB (Barcelona, 2008). He has worked in the Ventura Pons’ films 'AmorIidiota' and 'Animals Ferits' as a video assistant and as a BarcelonaPlató director in the 2004 European Film Awards. He has also written plays such as 'Jo mai, mai… or Frens', una sitcom al teatre. He has directed the plays 'Carícies', by Sergi Belbel and 'Cercamón', by Lluís Racionero. He has worked as an assistant director in other plays and shows such as 'Cercamón', 'Els Pastorets de Sant Julià de Lòria' and 'the Capitalitat de la Cultura Catalana 2011 opening'. He was a stage actor in the plays 'The Rope' by Patrick Hamilton, 'Allò que en diuen enamorar-se' or the musical 'Chicago'. He has written, edited and directed solo such short films as the 'A/mor/T Trilogy', 'Undercurrent' or 'Just The Two Of Us' (awarded the CECC 2nd best short film of his year).
Héctor Mas
Hector Mas is a qualified actor who studied at the Col·legi del Teatre de Barcelona (2006). He has studied filmmaking in the Estudiodecine school (2007) and holds a qualification in Audiovisual and Shows Direction by the EMAV (Barcelona, 2010). He is currently studying Audiovisual Communication in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona. He has directed for the stage 'Criatures', by T de Teatre and Llegendarium produced by the Escena Nacional d’Andorra. He was an actor in Ventura Pons’ film 'Amor Idiota' and in the play 'IQ100', by Ferran Audí. Is a founder of the stage company Komoi, taking part as an actor and producer in 'FoolForLove', by Sam Shepard and Nus, directed by Aina Tur. He has directed solo the short film 'Hunger'. And along with a team of directors the short films 'The Dark Side' and 'Mars Picnic', a Festival de Cinema Fantàstic de Sitges 2010 finalist at the Brigadoon section and awarded as the best artistic creation in the 'Night Of the New Professionals' organized by the Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
