'We want to produce a documentary film and put it in the Internet... it’s easy!' Copyright, Copyleft, Copy, CC, Open Source, MP3, Internet, Download, Share, P2P, Authors’ Rights,... All this words are constantly present in our language and in our life these days. This new 'digital world' allows us to be present all over the planet, and get everything we need from the Internet. This documentary will dive into this new world, and plead to find new social, economic and ethical answers to this overwhelming new reality. We will explain what Intellectual Property is and what the author's rights are. We will analyze this digital era where everything can be easily multiplied, copied or remixed, deepening into the social, legal, economical and moral intricacies around authors' rights. We will follow a number of characters that are directly involved with the film's subject and deal with its diverse and complex implications on a daily basis. Our film pretends not just to talk about copyright, but also experience it. We will show how we produced this film with a Creative Commons license and the whole process we had to follow in order to be able to put the film in the Internet, so anyone can download and copy it freely.
