Sherif El Bendary
Sherif was born in 1978, and he lives and works in Cairo. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in 2001, where he has been teaching film directing since 2008. During 2008 and 2009 he directed six documentaries in Mauritania and in Egypt for Al Jazeera TV as well as many TV commercials. His short films had been screened and awarded in lots of international festivals such as Tribeca, San Francisco, or the Berlinale.
