Santiago was born in Madrid in 1974. At twenty years he entered in the Fine Arts Faculty in Cuenca. There he directed his first short films. In 2000 he started his professional career as director and editor in Paramount Comedy Channel. In September 2001 he founded with his friends from university 'La hora chanante'. He worked in the programme during five years and ended this stage with the direction of the short film 'La gran revelación'.
