Born and bread in the pre-olimpic port side of Barcelona, Iván begins his artistic path very early as the author and editor of many fanzines and comic books, publishing his work in spanish underground tabloids such as MAKOKI or EL VÍBORA, his work being plugged in international cult comics such as Julie Doucet’s DIRTY PLOTTE. With two decades of experience as an actor, he’s worked in several tv shows such as POBLENOU o NISSAGA L’HERÈNCIA (TV3), AMISTADES PELIGROSAS (CUATRO) o EL COMISARIO (TELE 5). On the stage he has worked on shows directed by Marc Martínez, Carme Portacelli and Sergi Belbel, among others. For the big screen, Iván has had the chance to work for Álex Pastor, Toni Canet, Julio Wallowits, Roger Gual, Dario Argento o Daniel Monzón. At the same time, he has been developing a career as a writer, selling his first script at the early age of 20 years old: MI DULCE, film produced by Tusitala P.C. and directed by J. Mora, and starred by Aitana Sánchez Gijón, Marco Cocci and Unax Ugalde. Now in pre-production is his script EL TRUCO DEL MANCO, to be directed by Santiago Zannou and produced by FERNANDO COLOMO P.C. and MANGA FILMS. In 2001 he debuts as a director with his 35mm short-film HA LLEGADO EL MOMENTO DE CONTARTE MI SECRETO, starred by Bruno Bergonzini, Cristina Brondo, Frank Capdet, Carles Flavià y Eloi Yebra, produced by Tusitala P.C. and MEDIA PARK. Right now he is preparing his first assignment as a director, produced by Fair Play and based on the theater piece STRAIGTHEN CON FREITHEN.
