Conceived, at first, as a documentary about the shooting of Santiago Tabernero's film 'Vida y Color', right away the attention, without abandoning the shooting anecdotes, is led to other events and protagonists. The location, the 'Barrio de las Islas' in Fuencarral, is the main protagonist. Since the first moment, and meanwhile the casting of the film is done, the inhabitants start to have importance. An anachronistic redoubt is depicted, where the streetlife, peculiar of the rural tradition, still remains, with the oldest in the sunshine outside, the children playing in the streets, the numerous families and the mothers always accompanied of pram, the sheeps grazing in the mediocre meadow that misteriously survived to the constructive fever, the chicken running everywhere and above the roofs, cranes and satellite dishes announcing another period.
