Manuel has just lost his eight-year-old son Daniel in a terrible traffic accident. As a result of the tragedy, he's plagued by thoughts of the dreams and stories they shared. The most painful memory tormenting Manuel is the unusual kitchen of his home, decorated to evoke the place that Daniel had always wanted to visit: the African desert. This small sanctuary created by both of them is a monument to their innocent conversations about sand, deserts and flowers. For this reason, since the death of his child Manuel hasn't allowed himself to go into that room so full of memories; he blocks off all access to it, just as he blocks off his own feelings. One night, Manuel's life is devastated for a second time. A phone call turns everything upside down. It's Adela, the woman who abandoned them years before.
