Matei, a 23 years old, enjoys spending his time sleeping or simply lounging around. Woefully ignorant of everything that happens around him, Matei has no purpose in life. His mother finally finds him a job at the local military unit, where he must take care of seven veterans of the World War II, 'The Blind Detachment', as they like to call themselves.
