Omar graduated with a degree in Audiovisual Media Communications from the Complutense University of Madrid, and completed a Máster in Film, Television and Interactive Media at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. He has worked as an editor and editor's assistant on documentary and feature films in Paris and Montreal, including 'Optical Illusion' (Cristian Jiménez, 2008), 'Le genou blessé et l'homme debout' (Yann Chayia, 2008) and 'La route devant' (Stefan Ivanov, 2009). Currently, he's writing his thesis about the representation of women in the cinema of Rohmer and Ozu, work which he combines with the preparation of his second feature, 'Antxoaren Jauzia', a Spanish-Italian co-production selected in EuroDoc 2013.
