Spain, 1973. Luz works cleaning at a hospital run by nuns. They are the 70's in a place of Spain. She is pregnant, being single, and still continues its tasks, scrubbing the floor, with her own hands when she breaks water. Childbirth is painful, but not as much as the time in which she faces the truth.
