My idea was to make a film about the border in a tiny town at the Chilean-Bolivian frontier, but they did not allow it. So I decided to make a film about the wind, the most powerful and invisible force at first glance in this place, like the frontier, it is perceivable but impossible to frame.

Carlos studied at the Escuela de Cine de Chile, then completed his degree with Visual Anthropology and Cultural Studies subjects, worked in a film lab and taught Cinematography in Santiago before moving permanently to Barcelona where after doing the Master of Documentary at the University Pompeu Fabra, he concentrated on developing his own film work next to essay and experimental film. At the same time, he also collaborates with other filmmakes, teaches cinema and writes permanently about documentary film.
