After receiving a 'prize' by mail, Woody Grant, an old man with symptoms of dementia, believes that he has become rich, forcing his suspicious son David on a journey to go to collect it. Gradually, their relationship - broken for several years, because of the continuous ravings of ethyl Woody - takes a different shape to the surprise of David's sly mother and his successfull brother Ross. But what happens when Woody comes back to town, where he promised everyone that he has become a millionaire?

Alexander Payne
Grandson of Greek immigrants, Alexander grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was educated by the Jesuits. Later he studied History and Spanish Literature at the University of Stanford before earning an MFA in film directing at UCLA. Four of his six films were filmed in Nebraska.
