Just before departing for a long scientific expedition across the Pacific, Juan brings his girlfriend Gala to the village where he spent his childhood. Juan Barrero
Juan spent his childhood in Mairena del Aljarafe, a small village of Andalusia surrounded by old olive trees. He graduated from the University of Sevilla with a Bachelor Media Communication. He studied Philosophy and Stage Direction at the University of Sussex and finished his Master Studies in Creative Documentary at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Director, scriptwriter, cameraman or editor of medium/full length documentaries for National Geographic. In the advertising field, since 2003 to the present, he stands out as a creative director and editor for international campaigns. Concurrently, he carries out his teaching activity. Freeing his curiosity and eclectic spirit he has explore other creative fields like dance, music, architecture, gastronomy and its relationship with the audiovisual language. The continuous observation of wild nature, during his expeditions to Central America and the Pacific, will change forever his way of standing behind the camera, and this is the origin of his first feature film: 'La jungla interior'. Juan is the director of Labyrint Films audiovisual area.
