Clémence Demesme
Clémence Demesme is a french self-taught photographer and video artist born in 1988 in Avignon. She left school early on in order to learn various techniques of shooting to become autonomous, proceeding between real and fictional obsessions. At the age of 19, her first videos were noticed at the Videoformes festival in Clermont-Ferrand, and awarded at Cannes AVIFF a few years later (Le Cauchemar du Poisson in 2009). Although emotionally attached to the plastic emotion of the image, at 27 years old 'Clem' more and more loves exploring narrative systems proper to fiction such as the construction of a character and a story. In 2014, she directs her first short fiction film 'La Chair et les Volcans'.
