Sterre is a gifted girl. She is at her best when painting. Life is more difficult at school since Sterre suffers from dyslexia and fierce migraine. In the short documentary 'Sterre' we discover how Sterre tries to turn her life into a new direction by applying for the Art Academy, at the age of eleven.
Catherine was born in 1970 in the Netherlands. After studying History at the University of Amsterdam, she started working as a director and presenter for the Dutch Public Radio and other radios in which she develops her passion for narrative programs, winning awards. Since 2006, her main focus shifted more towards filmmaking, directing documentaries. Besides social involvement, a key element in her work is the matter of perspective.
