Lacuna recovers the figure of Neus Pipó, the filmmaker's mother, who died in 1993. She presents the reading of her letters with a trip through the spaces where she wrote them from.
Carla was born in 1986 in a small Catalan village. She is part of an extended family full of stories, where she finds her inspiration as a writer and director. In 2009 she graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, after having spent a year at the University of California. In 2010 she started a Master's in TV Quality and Innovation organized by the Television de Catalunya. Since September 2011 she has lived in London where she studies the Master of Arts at the London Film School, thanks to a scholarship of Obra Social 'la Caixa'.
