'New Madrid' is an experimental research about the cities built as a simulation and about the failed utopia.
Natalia Marín Sancho (Zaragoza, 1982) is a videoartist and teacher. She studied Audiovisual Communication at the UCM and completed her studies at the ECAM. In 2008 she fouded together with Javier Fenández Vázquez and Luis López Carrasco the audiovisual collective 'Los hijos'. Their first feature film "Los materiales" was awarded with the Premio Jean Vigo as Best Director at the International Festival Punto de Vista and got a Special Mention of the jury at the MID Marseille in 2010. Their work screened at many international festivals and art centres like Georges Pompidou in Paris, Guggenheim in Bilbao or the National Art Museum Reina Sofía in Madrid. 'New Madrid' won the first grant of videocreation of the BBVA foundation. It is her first work alone.
