Pliny the Elder has told, in Book XXXV of his Natural History, that Caesar bought an unfinished board from Timenaco, on that original board we can still see traces of a drawing by the Master, and in them we can sense – as Pliny describes - not the content of a thought but the movement of thought while thinking, or as Godard said 'a film in the process of becoming' on the visual motifs in the History of the cinema, Chapter 1.
