After living in London for 12 years Mar realizes that she has never dared to ask her grandparents about the Civil War and the Dictatorship in Spain. She returns to Asturias to reconnect with her great uncle Mariano, 96 years old, a survivor. She spends with him a summer full of stories from the past.
