Ismael Diadie fled into exile from Timbuktu (Mali) to Granada (Spain) escaping death. In April of 2012 the Salafist fighters and their Al Qaida allies surrounded his library. They sought the destruction of the Andalusi Kati’s Fund, a legacy of 12,000 manuscripts which came from Spain in XV century.
