Radu was born in Bucharest in 1977. He graduated in 2003 from the Filmmaking department of the Media University Bucharest. He worked as assistant director for feature films shot in Romania, like 'Amen' by Costa-Gavras, 'Vacuums' by Luke Creswell & Steve McNicholas, 'The Rage' by Radu Muntean and 'The Death of Mr. Lazarescu' by Cristi Puiu. He directs short films, TV series and many advertising commercials.
