The centre of Athens. Surrounded by a world in crisis and generalised destruction, a small group of characters resist the end towards which they seem inevitably to be heading. The film looks at fraternity and the desire not to throw in the towel.
Madrid, 1979. After a summer of cinema in Valladolid, Miguel Ángel Jiménez abandoned Law to study Camera and Photography. He got the help of Aki Kaurismäki to shoot his first short film in 2001. After a few years working in television in Bilbao, in 2007 he founded Kinoskopik with Gorka Gómez and three others. Now he survives and shoots films from time to time. 'Sumendia', a feature film in preproduction, will be his latest opportunity.
