After years of civil war, most Lebanese were coming to terms with their nation's past and looking forward to a peaceful future. I visited Beirut a week before the war began ... This film is a journey through my memories of Beirut, as the bombs started falling...

Zeina Aboul Hosn
Zeina started working in television as a TV presenter on Zen TV – a Beirut-based channel which offered an alternative to traditional Arab satellite television in both style and content. She hosted her own music program and also a live, daily chat show… She received the British Chevening Scholarship in 2003 and came to London to pursue her postgraduate studies in documentary filmmaking… during which she won a Kodak Student Commercial Award and started making short documentaries… Zeina also worked as the Assistant Producer of the Raindance Film Festival for its 12th and 13th editions… Zeina moved on to join Out There News – a London-based production company – where she produces news features about Iraq for Channel 4 News and works as an Associate Producer on documentaries produced by the company. Credits include ‘TV Iraqi Style’ (More4), ‘Dispatches: Iraq- The Women’s Story’ (Channel4) and Jihad TV (Channel4). She also produces and directs her own short documentaries about Lebanon. Her first short film ‘I Remember Lebanon’ has screened in festivals around the world, in addition to screening on Channel4 News (UK) and Channel 4’s 3 Minute Wonder …
