This is a salutary tale of fish poachers and fish protectors. This film attempts to portray a Hungarian universe and not suggest that the "big fishes" eat the "little fishes" but that "big fishes" flout the law and slip through the net while the "little fishes" get hooked every time.

Lívia Gyarmathy
Lívia was born in Budapest in 1932. She graduated in 1964 at the Academy of Theatre and Film Art. Lívia directed eight feature films and also made significant documentary films. Her films have beed screened world-wide at festivals and she was awarded some more than thirty national and international prizes.
