Mario is a magician, Alicia is his six-year-old daughter, and he adores her as much as she admires him playing magic. Alicia's mother is also Mario's partner and her name is Elena, she works every night as a whore. In their humble home joy reigns until they detect a terminal cancer to Mario.

Fernando Merinero Arias
Fernando was born in Madrid. Autodidact in super 8, he was later graduated in Cinema and in Drama from the TAI. He's master in Screenwriting by the Autónoma University of Madrid, in addition to have done seminars in Direction and Editing in the Círculo de Bellas Artes. He's member of the SGAE, AISGE, member (section directors) of the Academy of the Arts and Cinematography of Spain. He worked as director, actor, producer, screenwriter, photographer, and editor. He's director of several shorts filmed in different formats, from the super 8 awarded: 'Pisa moreno' and 'Te moriré siempre' in the 80's, to others in 35mm, like 'Una buena razón para vivir... o morir' (selected 1 National Short Film Tour), 'Raíles de Sangre' (Spanish Film Library: Best Shorts of the 80's), or more recently 'Háblame bajito' (2005) credited with national and international awards. Until now, Fernando directed six feature films.
