FIGURITAS

Graduated in Film Directing from the ESCAC, José María directed several documentaries, among them 'Celadores', finalist in various competitions and winner of the Doc'Amateur documentary festival. 'Figuritas' was his first work in 35mm and his graduation project. He currently combines his documentalist work with his work in television, as well as the direction of various videoclips filmed in 16mm for national music bands. As screenwriter, he collaborated in several production companies such as Eleven Dreams SL and was selected to participate in the First Iberoamerican Cinematographic Projects Course of the Casa de America. He participated in the Direction master organized by Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón. He's currently in the edition of his second documentary 'Fuera de lugar', about Montse, a tetraplegic woman of 39 years old, invalid since 9, locked in a hospital's room, with a deformed body due to the years, but still ready to discover life, food, paintings, love and sex.
