Ever since Romania saw, in 1989, the end of Nicolae Ceaucescu’s dictatorship, the precarious economical situation that the country is going trough has resulted in many children leaving on the city’s streets, specially in its capital. This is the story about some children leaving rough in the sewerage system of the North Railway station of Bucarest. They are 'aurolac’s', so called because of their addiction to synthetic paints of this brand.

Joan Soler
Born in Manresa in 1962, Joan studied Film Direction in the CESC from 1996 to 1999. In 2002 he directed the short film 'Los niños del Nepal', winner of the Goya Prize 2003 for the best documentary short film. In 2004 he founded Cinefilms Producciones SL. Joan is founder of Fecinema – Festival of Noir Genre Cinema in Manresa and is president of CIVI – Catalan Coordination of Movie and Video festivals.
