Jorgen Leth
Jorgen was born in 1937 in Denmark. He is a film director, journalist, poet and guest lecturer at the National Film School of Denmark. Leth's writing includes poetry, essays, radio and television dramas. He directed over forty films since the early 1960s and owns the company Sunset Productions. A key figure in the 1960's milieu of experimental documentary filmmakers. His special achievement awards include the Thomas Mann Award 1972, the Danish Academy's Special Prize 1983, the Hammerich Award 1992, and a lifelong grant from the Danish Art Foundation 1995.
