In this documentary, we record D. Nieves, and the reason of this trip. The reason of the memory: of the places, of the house, of the objects, of the relationships and the reason of the importance of names. The songs, the love, the life, the death. Borders and non-borders, the return, the memory that is left and the 'saudade', this feeling so Portuguese and Galician that makes us believe that in one moment those two peoples were one.

Miguel Gonçalves Mendes

Miguel was born in Portugal in 1978. He attended the courses of International Relations, University of Lisbon and History, University Nova of Lisbon. In 2004, he finished his degree in Directing, in the Superior School of Theatre and Cinema. He worked as an executive producer between 1998 and 2000, in the Theatre Company Cão Solteiro. In 2002, he founded the production company JumpCut, developing activities in the areas of theatre and audiovisual. In cinema, he directed several documentaries and one feature film.
