Enchjargal is a young woman who lives in a village in the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. In order to pay for her studies, she decides to sell ice-cream. Supplied with a freezer, Enchjargal undertakes a nine-hour journey twice a month to reach the nearest market in order to buy her stock of ice-cream. She travels on a jeep that weekly plies the route to the nearest town for the residents of the desert. On her return, she must hurry to sell her ice-cream because of the summer heat and the few hours of electricity her village receives. Images of a changing Mongolia, where old and new co-exist and nature still plays a fundamental role in the lives of the inhabitants.
