It tells the story of Isra, a gypsy child that, after the death of his father, won't be able to sing anymore even if he's part of a flamenco singers' tradition and that he hopes to leave one day the island where he was born; and the story of Makiko, that travels to the island to try to assimilate a tradition and a way to understand life that seem foreign to him, but with the hope to be able to face the inexpressible emotions that awaken the disease of his father. Two characters, and even if they don't know it, are in transition, about to become other persons.

Isaki Lacuesta
Isaki collaborates in several publications writing articles about cinema, art and literature, often with different names. In 2000, he directed the science -fiction short-film 'Caras vs. Caras'. From that same year, he has been combining cinema directing with teaching in the universities Pompeu Fabra, Autonoma de Barcelona and the University of Malaga. Two years later, he wrote and directed his first feature film 'Cravan vs. Cravan' (2002) that wins the Sant Jordi Award for the Best First Work and The Gran Angular Prize and Ciudadano Kane to the Best New Director in Sitges Festival (Barcelona). In 2003, he wrote and directed 'Microscopias'. His second feature, 'La Leyenda del Tiempo' (2006) won the Special Award of the Jury in Las Palmas Film Festival and the Best Documentary in Alcances, the Cadiz Film Festival.
