1970s. Already before Marija is born it is clear that she will be a person getting into trouble all the time. When Marija turns five, Santa Claus brings her a doll she doesn't like and also a lady-bird crawls into her ear. However, that's not all. The most important thing is that she is often alongside firemen. Is it because things around her catch fire?

Laila Pakalnina

Laila was born in Liepaja, Latvia, and she graduated in 1986 in TV Journalism from the Moscow University as well as in 1991 in Film Direction from the Moscow Film Institute (VGIK). Her award-winning work includes various short films, documentaries and feature films.
