In 1969 PeÅ Holmquist was 21 and a flashy fashion photographer. But things were wrong in the world – the Vietnam War was raging. PeÅ bought a one-way ticket to Cambodia. During his long journey, PeÅ met the Hmong headman, Lao Tong, high up in the Thai mountains – a meeting that was to change PeÅ’s life forever. Now PeÅ has returned, to see Lao Tong again and to find out more about their first meeting. It’s a personal film, with sequences from 1969 and the present, and with a surprising end.
