Kyle is 11 and he has an embarrassing problem. His mum doesn't help, in fact she makes things worse. When she writes a note to his teacher stating the unvarnished truth, he bunks off school and goes in search of his own solution.

Simon Neal

Simon began his career at the BBC where he wrote and directed many award winning trailers and channel idents. In 2001, he joined Another Film Company to make commercials. His first job was a charity film for Cancer Research UK. It won a Lion at Cannes and earned him the title of Best New Director at the British Television Advertising Awards. Since then the very visual storytelling style of Simon has been much in demand from advertising agencies. He has directed over 100 commercials to date worldwide. 'Washdays' is his first short film.
