TALKS AND MEETINGS WITH PROFESSIONALS

“TRUE STORIES: TENEMOS KE INVERTANO DRAMA (WE GOTTA INVENT OUR DRAMA). Virality, reality and fiction on the web” with Catana3el and Christian Flores.

Monday the 12th. 16:30-18:00h. Free registration. Limited places

History of art, everyday anecdotes, trap, feminism… What are the topics, tones and aesthetics that might be the key to making a video go viral? What makes you share something with your friends?
We will be talking about all this and much more with two of the most original and surprising digital creators of the moment.

Catana3el
Professional educator who designs and works on socio-cultural projects. She is the creator of the "True Story" saga; stories she has experienced told through animations with drama, humour and a lot of reflection, which have been a revelation on channels such as YouTube and Instagram. She currently works with her pieces on the programme #WifiLeaks of Movistar+.

Christian Flores
Audiovisual creator and composer interested in new kinds of audiovisual offerings generated on the internet, with the emphasis on comedy, documentary, reality and music. He has worked on various online entertainment platforms and now produces videos for platforms such as Movistar.

At the end of 2017 he created “The meninas trap”, which united music, comedy and art history in a video which ended up being played 8 million times on YouTube.

“DEL YO AL YOU. Deseo de ser youtuber (FROM I TO TÚ. I want to be a youtuber” with Míster Jägger and Alesya Crocodile

Tuesday the 13th. 16:30-18:00h. Free registration. Limited places

Franz Kafka, and then Leopoldo María Panero, talked about their wish to be a “red Indian” as the last holdout of freedom. Later Belén Gopegui would change that from native Americans to punks. In these times there are native internet creators capable of creating and developing their own universe with their own grammar, language and characteristic resources. When a youtuber is able to troll an international film festival, perhaps the time has come to recognise the fact that they are really the last men and women living free in the wild and “infinite prairies” of the network. Sitting Bull is not dead. So if that is what you like, register to his channel and follow him on his social networks.

Míster Jägger
Began on Youtube at the age of 17 with videos full of violence and humour. At the age of 22 he premiered his first film in cinemas across Spain.

Alesya Crocodile
Currently working as a reporter and journalist at Weblogs SL. I have created content on Youtube since 2013. After a period of five years producing animations on my Youtube channel, in 2018 I made my first short feature film, Banana: Origen, premiered at a small movie theatre in Madrid, created on the basis of a transmedia story on my social networks.
